Uniqueness

There's only one of everyone (well, supposed to). And that's good.

It’s very popular nowadays for people to copy each other. There’s this monotony happening on the crazy side of social media. I first noticed it in my class and stories I hear how everyone wants to be famous and popular. You know, typical - I’m used to it - everyone gets consumed by their phone looking at other peoples’ lives instead of their own, they started to mimic what the famous people do to get so much attention. But since more and more people are doing those things, the less they stand out and so get less attention in real life. If they keep ignoring what they actually want to do, after some time they’ll forget who they were or won't be able to truly find themselves. That will send them living someone else’s life and in the end won't be fulfilled.

I’m trying consciously to avoid this. Always listening to my thoughts and intuition hopefully will be beneficial. I have to give attention to the life I want in order to get it, even though I sometimes don't feel like I'm enough.

I live by a saying, but I have no clue who said it, maybe everyone.

“Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean it's right and you should too.”

This applies to everything for me. Whatever appropriate context I think of works. So far it's worked well. I’ll carry it in the future.

Be yourself, you won't regret it, and even if some do, they shouldn't.
